How it works

How South Shore Bathroom Remodeling Finder Works

A plain explanation of what the site does, what it doesn't do, and how it's paid, so you can use it with clear expectations.

Step by step

Three Steps To A Local Bathroom Remodeler

  1. Describe Your Project

Call or send a request with your town and a short description of the bathroom work you have in mind.

  2. Talk With An Independent Remodeler

You're connected with a local remodeler who serves your area. Ask about their experience, registration and process.

  3. Get A Written Estimate

If the project moves forward, ask for an itemized estimate and a written contract that spells out scope, schedule and payments.

  4. Make Your Own Decision

Compare estimates, check references, and hire only when you're comfortable. You pay the remodeler directly, never the site.

We're A Referral Service, Not A Contractor

South Shore Bathroom Remodeling Finder connects homeowners on the South Shore with independent local bathroom remodelers. We don't do remodeling work, we don't employ remodelers, and we don't send crews to your home.

The remodelers you're connected with run their own businesses. They set their own prices, schedules and terms, and any contract you sign is between you and them.

How The Site Is Paid

The site earns money from remodelers, not from homeowners. Some remodelers pay to be listed for a town, and the site may also be paid a referral fee when you call and are connected with a remodeler.

You never pay us anything. Being connected through the site doesn't change your right to get other estimates or to choose a different remodeler.

What We Don't Do

We don't inspect, supervise or warrant the work of any remodeler. We don't confirm registrations, licenses or insurance on your behalf, so those checks are yours to make before you hire.

We also don't sell your information. Details you share are used to connect you with a remodeler about your project.

Checking A Remodeler Before You Hire

Look up the remodeler's Home Improvement Contractor registration on the state's online lookup, and ask for proof of liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. If walls or framing will change, ask who holds the Construction Supervisor License for the job.

Ask for a detailed written estimate and contract, confirm who pulls the building, plumbing and electrical permits, and call a few recent clients. Our Learning Center walks through each step in more depth.
